Aug. 13th, 2003 11:51 amThe Atkins Diet is a pile of dangerous pseudo-science. Not that this comes as a surprise, but here's the word from Dr Susan Jebb of the Medical Research Council's Human Nutrition Research Centre.

Date: 2003-08-13 08:04 am (UTC)Frankly, I quite accept that Atkins / lo-carb sounds very stupid and in some ways idiotic. It is not how I was brought up to select and eat my food. But it works, and I've always been someone who follows empirical evidence. I miss bread and indian & thai food so much I really wish it didn't!
