Rome was great last night, as always. How come it's not the talk of LJ? We have all three episodes so far recorded in case anyone wants to catch up.
I don't know my Roman history very well, and so I don't know what happens - is it perverse of me to want to keep it that way for the duration of the series?

Date: 2005-11-17 01:48 pm (UTC)Still, I've given up on Lost - it just went *so* slowly and spelt everything out so much, even though I stuck through 8-9 episodes and really wanted to like it - so I've got time now.

Date: 2005-11-17 02:24 pm (UTC)The only thing that doesn't work for me is opening titles and the music. A small quibble I know.
The rest of the series looks very promising, with lots of decadent perversity and bloody.

Date: 2005-11-17 10:25 pm (UTC)It is, but seemingly only from Americans. Perhaps that's because they're further along in the series or because they generally have less good shows to watch?
is it perverse of me to want to keep it that way for the duration of the series?
Nope. No spoilers if you don't know the history or academic angst when they get something wrong. ;>
I'm thoroughly enjoying Rome. It took me the first two episodes to really get into it but I can't wait for the fourth now.

I was really impressed with how well it's been done.
it has me interested so much
Date: 2005-12-04 02:06 pm (UTC)Well, if you substitute "Angels in America" for "Romeo and Juliet" ...
Date: 2005-12-05 01:29 am (UTC)However, I might enjoy watching this series. Hold me a spot on the couch for later?
