I quite like Greenery. But I'd like them even more if they were better value for money. They've got one of the highest cost per useful word rates going.

I don't agree; what I've read (Ethical Slut, [New] Bottoming Book, Japanese Bondage, parts of SM101) I've generally found useful and informative. Mind you, I was reading them all from something of a beginner's point of view; I can see why some of them wouldn't be as useful to people who'd been doing poly/SM/bondage for a while.
'The Ethical Slut' pretty much saved me from going crazy over the last year or so, and also helped me get the confidence together to start going to play parties and meet some wonderful new people, I'd recommend it heartily not only to anyone poly or thinking of a poly lifestyle, but to anyone in a relationship; its thoughts on honesty and trust aren't poly-specific.

You've picked on most of the exceptions (but check the typography on Slut - you could do it in half the pages, and it'd probably be more readable!)

For more typical examples look at the Tricks series. Some 'tricks' are duplicated between the books, and the start and end padding - including the incredible plea: 'please don't remember these without buying the book' - is basically the same. So in effect, the first three or four are one decent book split up into several rather less acceptable ones.

They're not the worst (that has to be the second edition of The Guide to Getting It On, which achieved nearly all of its impressive increase in the number of pages - making it look like there was a pile of new material in it - simply by increasing the leading, the space between the lines!) but it's still pretty bad.
