I have a G+ account. Because it's integrated fully with my android phone, I don't use it much if at all, as I don't want the potential security risks and similar. I liked the idea when they launched, but because of the stupidly insane real names clampdown which was far more stupid than even Facebook ever did, it chased off too many people I'd want to pay attention to, etc.
DW is my little corner of the web, it's a bit clunky and hasn't got as many bells and whistles, but it's far better than anywhere else.
Yeah, but too little and far too late, once you alienate a big chunk of vocal userbase and their friends, recovering is harder, because most of the people I want to read/pay attention to are on Twitter or here/LJ, I've no reason to pay attention to G+ except as a contact store and phone backup facility, so that's what it is.
Facebook was never as insistent on "real" names let alone stupidities like full legal name, and they've completely rolled that back of late.
