Every year I feel this slight sense of disappointment that, on the last day of work before Christmas, we're not all going to be bringing in board games and mucking about all day.

In my old work we used to do this. Well, wine, and cheese, and cake, and generally mucking about all afternoon, which is much the same really.

In fact we've just suggested to our boss that we should bring our favourite toys in next week, since it's looking like we'll make no progress next week due to staff in supporting teams being away. He declined on the grounds that he was worried what our favourite toys were!
