Phone really lost
Jan. 23rd, 2007 11:23 amFuck, my phone isn't in the club's lost property.
Whoever had it called Jess at 5am. They didn't answer when I called back. Then it got blocked. What is going on?

Date: 2007-01-23 11:40 am (UTC)Someone has it who doesn't know you but is trying to be helpful. They saw that Jess was the most recent called person and guessed that's someone you know well. They didn't answer when you rang back as they're not carrying it round with them.
Any way you can get the block taken off?
This is a random guess, and may be heavily coloured by my faith in humanity.

Date: 2007-01-23 11:47 am (UTC)I think it's probably in benign but not maximally efficient hands.
I spent 1hr 40 mins on hold to Orange on Saturday trying to get the block removed so I could call them or they could call me, but I didn't get through. I finally got through on Sunday and got the block set so I can call them but not vice versa, but the phone hasn't been switched on since then. Whoever it is hasn't tried any other way of reaching me, eg phoning a number in my phone with another phone, or contacting the club, the venue, or the police.
If it wasn't for that 5am call I'd just give up on it as stolen, but now I don't know what to think.

Don't want to tell you to lose hope, but I think at this point I'd start sorting out a new phone. If the person ever really wants to get it back to you, they can contact the club organisers.
sorry love :( xxx
My hopes are also low
