Not going to Whitby

Whitby is going to be impossible. On top of everything else, the meeting in Geneva on Tuesday would be impossible to get to.

It makes sense for me to go to London on the days surrounding the meeting, since that means I don't have to stay a night in Geneva, so I might do that.

I can't comment on your not going to Whitby, but I'd take the option of staying in Geneva if work will cover that. You will spend some free time in a new place, which is always good. Not much chance of finding a goth club though, I imagine.
