I've been talking mysteriously about getting a "tamper-evident collar" made, but I didn't say anything about who it was for. I think most people must have assumed it was for me, but it's for coracaskia! I didn't know if she wanted me to announce that, but it turns out she's quite keen for me to do so.

That's not the collar she's wearing just now - she's wearing a dog collar bought from a pet shop. The tamper-resistant one has yet to be made; it looks like giolla might well be making it for me, though we've yet to sort out all the details. I'm looking forward very much to having such a thing! I'm looking forward, among other things, to sealing it around her neck before one of her visits to London, and seeing her again on the way back to remove it, knowing she's been wearing it the whole time.

I'm also looking forward to one of the conditions I'll imposed that go with the collar, which will affect you if you're playing with her: while she's wearing it, if she's going to allow someone else to penetrate her, I have to get a text message (or failing that, an email) telling me about it first. So if you've a date with her, make sure your phone is charged...

I like the way you think :) Will the collar have rings on?

Mind you it might be a good idea to change the rules slightly if she is going for interviews.

On a practical note it would also be a good idea to make sure the leather isn't too absorbent and that it doesn't shrink in water. I speak from experience as I used to wear a woven black leather bracelet all the time when I was a student (the first time) but it got wet a few too many times and just had to go.

He'd probably die (again) of shock.

Or maybe he was a typical repessed Victorian. Maybe he'd end up sending you a text message...

Also, given the powerful vibration feature in Nokia phones, perhaps you could work out some protocol involving sending a reply...

So just out of academic interest, what would be a suitable wording for the text message? "hi u dont know me but im about to bang yr girlfriend"? Or is there an SMS code for this kind of thing? Miss Manners never covers this stuff.

The collar is now under my pillow, so it's near me when I sleep even when I can't wear it cos of chances of my family seeing in the morning ... I think about it a lot - can't wait for you to fasten it on me again ... I love my collar! ;)
