Looking at http://www.friendsreunited.co.uk/ to see who's newly joined from the boys' school I used to go to, I'm surprised to learn that a former pupil of my vague acquaintance has had a sex-change operation and now plays for a US transgender basketball team. Another former pupil voices his support:
I'd just like to say although I'm slightly shocked about Gid Simeloff's "change", I think we should all wish him the best.
A commendable sentiment indeed - but I think you mean "...wish her all the best"...

Him
Her

I guess I have practice at these things...

That I can't seem to find any accomodation for those in their youth who spent their lives abroad as expats...

Saudi Arabia & Hong Kong were the domociles of my ill-spent school...

Which is a shame cos I lost contact with a lot of good friends :-(

ho humm...

Thanks!

Now happily registered there myself. And totally amazed to have found 1 ex g/f, another lassie who I was very keen on, and, hopefully, a couple of folk from Watsons who knew Mackie and who might be able to put me back in touch with him.

This site rocks. Although it is a bit disconcerting to see folk I remember as 17 years old now with kids that are 8. And theres someone from my year who is living in NY. Plus another who is managing bands like U2 and Depeche Mode, and other folk I knew who are now doing other things in the music biz. I can see this becoming a great waste of time for the next few days.

Almost all the people from my year say things like "Left the smog of Bournemouth for the more relaxed pace of a hovel in a mud bank up a deer's arse in the new Forest where I raise lichen with my wife I met at play school. We have many daughters. Yes."

*shudder*
