I've taken the afternoon off to play with the washing machine some more.

The machine takes in water, and spins, but does not drain. Here's what I've done by way of diagnosis:
  • I've looked at the filter - it's spotless.
  • I've disconnected the waste pipe and held a bowl under the waste water outlet - not a drop. So it's not my connection.
  • I've opened up the back and looked for either a waste valve or a transit screw - didn't find one.
  • I've disconnected the last (post filter, post pump) internal waste pipe and poured water into it - the water comes out the filter when you unscrew it. So that pipe isn't blocked, or at least not entirely.
So it's either the waste water pump, the pipe leading to the pump/filter, or something I haven't thought of.

What's the next test I should do? Is there a way I can see if the pump motor is working?

well you can test a fuse with the resistance or diode setting. should read around 0 or a few ohms if it is fine, otherwise it should show infinity/flashing etc

Likewise, the pump should read something non-infinity on the resistance setting...
