.com seems to keep redirecting me to .co.uk, but I don't know if that's normal...

Google Talk seems to be working AFAIK, and my Gmail notifier seems OK. Think it might just be a blip.

Have you heard of 'Issue Zero'? I was sorting out some stuff and came across a very old UBIQUITOUS (EBG) newsletters and also a news letter called 'Issue Zero' listing bi news and groups from across the country.

I was unable to get into gmail for about a day.
