Update: seems all fixed, rah!

My email is a bit screwed. I'll let y'all know when it's fixed. If the problem goes on, I'll say something here...

Geek details: dovecot, the IMAP server so wonderful I forgot what it called, has suddenly brought itself to my attention which can't be good. I'm building a version newer than the two-year-old one that ships with Debian; maybe that'll fix things.

Update: it appears to fix things rather nicely. Not to mention making them faster and smoother. And it was easy!
