Photo gateway
May. 5th, 2004 07:04 pmI should write a gateway that makes it possible to attach photos to emailed journal entries. Then I could use it to post camera phone pics to LJ, and show you all some of the weird graffiti and other illicit decoration around where I work.
The gateway would pull out attachments in the email and host them somewhere convenient, replacing them with URLs for their new homes before forwarding the email on, using the "img" tag for images.
This is the sort of rambling you can expect here around twice a weekday until I get some new games for my Treo....

Date: 2004-05-05 11:12 am (UTC)The blog comes with an RSS feed, so I just made an lj for my camera pics; you can add text to posts, too. Mind you, your solution is much more elegant, and does get more people looking at your pictures.

Date: 2004-05-05 11:48 am (UTC)I've been using a modified form of this :
http://akuaku.org/archives/000340.shtml#000340
Along with the LJ-Simple perl module.
The main thing this does for me is that it gives me more control over how my email is parsed and what gets spat out at LJ or whatever your blog of choice is.
