Good news - SERVE abandoned

Thanks to webcowgirl for the heads-up. The SERVE electronic voting system I discussed earlier has been canned by the DoD [NYTimes, registration required]. Rah! Good things sometimes do happen. Now all we need is for Maryland to abandon Diebold and we'll really be getting somewhere.
