Try my new trust metric!

I have implemented my new trust metric, and applied it (fairly crudely) to LiveJournal friends lists as an experiment. The result is a tool that tells you who is "closest" to your friends list who isn't actually on it, like "popwithfriends" but more sophisticated.
Who is closest to your friends list?
Let me know how plausible the results seem to you.
Update: Shit, I've broken the machine it was running on. Back later when I've made it check the load average before running the metric... Update: Back again now, with a rate limiter to keep the load average reasonable. Gosh, hadn't expected such popularity!

Date: 2003-08-03 04:48 pm (UTC)About the results: I know of maybe a quarter of the people listed. I'm going to have to go to the new-to-me LJs and the not-new ones and see. A couple of the people listed are definitely no one I'd trust to read my friends-locked posts, but there's no way your metric would know that. *g* It's going to be fun to read more LJs, and I hope to find some new people to add as friends.
Thank you for making this available.

Date: 2003-08-03 09:17 pm (UTC)I'm not sure what it does or how it works. I got this reply:
Sorry! The load on this computer is too great to calculate the results for methodius. It's only a very little computer and many people are trying to use at the moment! Please try again later.
