You should watch Dr. Strangelove it's a great (but twisted) film.

Memento and Donnie Darko would make a good double bill for a film evening. Hmm.

Of the nots, I'd recommend...

Oh sod it, all of them except the Chaplins (Modern Times and City Lights - the latter is particularly over sentimental to modern eyes.) I haven't seen 44 or 48.

I now have an enormous unashamedly soppy grin on my face. I was singing your current music earlier. One month, five days :D I notice that the two films top on your 'haven't seen' list are two of my favourite films ever. I've seen Shawshank Redemption more times than I care to admit, and have it on DVD. Popcorn, bed to snuggle up on...think we have a date yet?

I always put off seeing American Beauty but when i finally saw it i was suitably impressed. You have to see Silence of the Lambs - the serial killer in that is a majorly cool bloke - and quite sexy in a warped way too!

Memento

Definitely check out Memento and Donnie Darko.
One of my ex-flatmates, who will never be a film critic, said of Memento: "I don't get it, it was all backwards and you saw some bits twice." (which doesn't give anything away about the film btw.) Hmm....

REM do a nice cover of Mad World (tears for fears) in Donnie Darko.
