Just to say I will be going to Finsternis tonight, maybe see you there?

What I'll be wearing depends on whether the dry cleaners get my velvet coat ready in time (Update: yes!)

In news from other LJs on my friends list:

fiber optic clothing

I'll second your gasp and raise you an "Oh my god, I would cut off my right hand to own that dress!".

(I am of course left handed, but even so.)

I couldn't find any contact details for the fabric apart from the address of the Swiss weaving company, who'd presumably sell it by the roll. That'd mean tha'd have to buy the clothes which I guess'd have a hideous markup on them.

I'm still wondering what I'll wear for Whitby.

*the witch thing is definately true- i've seen medieval manuscripts with witches' brooms pointing to the back.
*the black rose are crap. none of their clothing is made to fit normal human beings. i ordered something from their website and when it arrived it a) didn't fit and b) was broken. i got a refund though, but wouldn't buy from them again. the stuff they sell from other companies is okay, though.

The dress looks as if it's made of stars, and it is absolutely fucking incredible.

However, I can't shake the feeling that by the time we can all afford it, it will be so common as to seem tacky. :o(

"I keep updating LJs like these long after I've posted them, though I try to keep in mind not to invalidate whatever comments people might have made..."

Heh. It can take some self-restraint, yes. I tend to try to write the initial entry offline and not be afraid of two or three one-liner entries in a day if it's been that inspirational. And not to edit after the first hour without adding Update: or Addendum:.

I like the dress. Reminds me of something Barbie would wear.
