Putting olive oil into your own ears is incredibly unpleasant. You can feel it run about in your ear. Eeurgh.

Lovely to see [livejournal.com profile] cairmen, [livejournal.com profile] calar, [livejournal.com profile] gothtart, [livejournal.com profile] dragal23, [livejournal.com profile] nik_strychnine, [livejournal.com profile] sabledemon, [livejournal.com profile] pipistrelle, and [livejournal.com profile] selectnone down the pub last night! Also spotted were [livejournal.com profile] rainstorm, [livejournal.com profile] gnomatron. Excitement for the evening included "Army Surplus" John Vassallo making loud and rather disturbing threats of violence against "Bob" James - I managed to miss it because of being deaf in one ear ATM, but I heard about it later.

Update: I forgot to say, also, that our Whitby tix arrived this morning! Rar! Now to sort out train tickets...

you think olive oil is bad, you should try the kind of ear-wax remover that effervesces in your ear to break up the blockage. It's like having bubblewrap burst right by your ear for a couple of hours.

Aaargh! On the other hand, if it really worked I'd be tempted to go through it, I'm *really sick* of my ear being bunged up.

it does work. I believe it's made by Earex/Eurax (or whatever they're called these days).
[livejournal.com profile] wechsler, what was that stuff called again?

Hm. It doesn't bother me at all. I suppose maybe it's because I used to swim a lot underwater, and have got quite used to my ear filling up with fluid.

Hope your ear's suitably degunked now *snuggle*.

No, it'll probably be a few days before it degunks properly...

Rar! A Cipher at Whitby always adds to the pleasure! You've been assigned a special task too...
