Angel finale
Jun. 14th, 2002 09:25 am My god did that suck! The "cliffhanger" of "what will become of Angel" is no cliffhanger at all; if the gang can't get it together, Wolfram and Hart certainly can and will locate him by magical means and rescue him. Cordelia would not choose such a plot-handy meeting place, and Conor could not have known that she would in time to sort out getting a boat. Cordelia would not have chosen as she did.
And so much time was wasted - compared to the all-action finish that Buffy always gives us, I found myself saying "this doesn't feel like a season finale. This feels like a filler episode".
DisapPOINTed!

Date: 2002-06-14 02:37 am (UTC)As always, my attitude to the episode was purely emotional and as if they were real people, so I didn't think 'good' or 'bad' about it. I just felt incredibly, incredibly sorry for Wesley and angry on his behalf; glad that Fred and Gunn were together; sad that Lorne was leaving (and hoping they actually release his album); sad about Cordelia (but then she and Angel wouldn't have had much of a future what with the no-happiness rule); and mixed about Connor (ok, growing up in a hell dimension probably warps your mind, but burying your own father alive, eek).
As you can see, I'm not exactly much of a critical judge about these things. :)
