I think it has to do with the way that it was always a disaster when non-UK-resident people joined uk-poly. I have this urge to say "yeah, yeah, you're SO Scottish you even fake the accent. I live here! Fuck off!"

It was an advert in "Prediction" magazine: send off money, learn the mantra. I don't know what that mantra is. But I have one of my own...
