Just got an email from a headhunter! They're very impressed with my CV, and they'd like to know if I'm interested in doing research work on crypto and security related areas! They've got a couple of posts that might be just my thing, and they can offer a lot of flexibility, and great stock options.

So if Burger King stop hiring, I can go work for Microsoft.

*sigh*

Anyone care to help me compose a response?

i was reading a book of ben's about computer security the other day, when i realised it was by someone from Microsoft Research, i laughed heartily..

it also had a disclaimer in the front amounting to "don't take this book seriously, or sue us. thank you."

Errm??

seriously?
Microsoft?

LOL

It should start with

"I enjoy a challenge..."

and continue along the lines of "sure I may do some work, but would you ever change your ways and impliment your findings?"

hehe

Cool enough I suppose.

Still - Depends on your job front ATM.

I would accept money from the devil if I was skint :-)

hmmm microsoft. I remember them being at at a university careers fair; all the other stalls had computers running some demos, or at least had something interesting to show off. Their stall was blank except for a leaflet entitled something along the lines of "Bill Gates' Billions" and ranting on about how wonderful they were, and more to the point, how much money he had.

I was most tempted to go up to the woman there with the opening line of "So.. what does your company do then?"

If you'd truly never consider it, why not give in to temptation and tear them a new one?
