4B - "not conservative enough" is not *that* unreasonable, given that the expansion of the federal government under Bush (bank bailout, Department of Homeland Security) and vastly increased budget deficits can be characterised as unconservative.
What I expect they mean is that a more conservative Republican message would be a simpler message, and thus an easier sell. It's not *completely* batshit insane...
