Berlin was lots of fun. Have some random stuff.

I have a project, and colleagues, and stuff. This rocks.
I went out every night I was there. It was fun, but I must must must get back to O-level standard German at least.
I ran into a friend from Edinburgh - punk Andy - in a Goth club on Saturday night, and "fuck" was the first 10 words of conversation from both of us while we tried to get our breath back. This was extremely cool.

Berlin is really really cool, and with any luck I get to go back there often.
Berlin Schonefeld (SXF) airport is horrible, the Luton Airport of Berlin but without the catchy song. I spent much longer than I would like there because my flight was delayed, and then delayed some more. I thought I was going to miss my other flight. I watched the takeoff time for the other flight approach with mounting horror as one delay after another stood in my way. I nearly ran over the woman who moved my trolley out of the way just as I was hefting my rucksack onto it, having moved myself to the ideal position to get my luggage before bolting for the checkin desk at top speed.
wolfing down a burger before running to the gate, then watching the takeoff time come and go with no word as to what the hell was going on.
Then they lost my luggage. I wouldn't mind if the had a sort of red carpet treatment for people whose luggage they lose, but actually they don't give a shit. "Happens all the time" they say. "We'll phone you tomorrow, or maybe the next day."
I've got it back now.
A bottle of beer and a shower gel bottle broke in the rucksack on the way back. The beer soaked my socks; the shower gel mostly got the rucksack. Both have been washed, except for the sock containing the beer bottle which has been thrown away. Two more bottles of schwartzebeer made it through and are now in the fridge.

I have lots to do.
