Any company's strongest asset
Dec. 13th, 2004 12:09 pmReg Bettridge - Any company's strongest asset
Like the lion shown here I am confident, strong, well groomed, well respected and when it comes to business aggressive when necessary.
Not a spoof. The best bits are in the PDF brochure.
The train shows here represents how I see myself in terms of being a tough, hard worker with that slightly stubborn streak that always holds me securely on the rails.
A Leading Business Manager ... with a GLOBAL perspective.

Date: 2004-12-13 05:32 am (UTC)Short of actually having "I am a great fan of EATING HUMAN PEOPLE" in the source code, this could not be bettered as an act of class warfare by a hungry web designer. The PowerPoint Presentation is *beautiful* - the lion! The locomotive!
I am a very social type of person although because of my senior and often dominant position I tend to keep a professional distance and do not get unprofessionally close to work colleagues.
I am professional in business able to communicate effectively at all levels in a way that is well received and well understood.
I do have an opinion about everything and I am rarely stuck for words. Some call this a weakness because at times I can come across as too talkative however this is a misconception. The more passionate I feel about something the more enthusiastic I become and the more I tend to talk about it. I never talk rubbish, whenever I speak people tend to listen because I usually have something profound and interesting to say and I usually speak with authority, dynamism and infectious energy.
Good to know. Our Reg, however, would never dance at a disco or sing at a karaoke bar, in case it would damage the sense of executive gravitas that is in no way endangered by having a cartoon lion coming out of your head on a PowerPoint Presentation on the web.
I want to get him together with Molatar.

Date: 2004-12-13 09:43 am (UTC)two2 - see! I'm learning from Reg! - is justified, hyphenation off (or very coincidentally has no hyphens), while page 3 has hyphenation on (with 5 hyphens in 7 lines in one paragraph, and 3 in 4 in the next), and page 4 is ragged right... which continues straight onto page 5's return to justified, hyphenation off!no subject
Date: 2004-12-13 02:48 pm (UTC)Well, yes. This is uncontroversial.
I wear my feelings on my sleeve although I am reserved and will always avoid situations that could make me look unprofessional or silly. This sometimes makes me appear aloof or reserved and outspoken, I will call a spade a spade.
I am actually thinking of calling up my old philosophy tutor, who apparently at one point memorised Hegel's Domus Aurea, to see if he can work out what on Earth this means. He is reserved, which understandably makes him appear reserved. But he also wears his feelings on his sleeve. So he also appears outspoken. He appears reserved or outspoken. Also, he is a dragon. And a werewolf.
Thank God he avoids situations that could make him look silly, though. Thank God for that.
