Saturday: Party day. I don't tend to write up scenes in any detail, so let me just extend thanks to [livejournal.com profile] kitty_goth, [livejournal.com profile] ergotia, SC, [livejournal.com profile] lizw, and [livejournal.com profile] djm4, and of course to all the wonderful people there for a fab time and to [livejournal.com profile] countess_sophia for being, as always, the hostess with the mostest. I worried one top by taking a long time to reply to an "are you OK?"; the response when it came was "Words are hard". Another very fine and long-dreamt-of scene had me dubbed "Paul, the human theremin" by [livejournal.com profile] adjectivemarcus; I had to point out that I was not just having hands waved near my body at the time... And [livejournal.com profile] djm4 did a very nice write-up of the last scene.

As things wound down, the remaining awake guests ([livejournal.com profile] countess_sophia, [livejournal.com profile] ajva, [livejournal.com profile] kitty_goth and myself) sat on the patio drinking and smoking and generally setting the world to rights; eventually only myself and the Countess were left, and not long after that others in the house started to rise, so we never did get to sleep. But that's my usual pattern for these occasions...

Sunday: With the hard-won lessons of experience, I started the process of hassling people to go down the pub two hours before it opened. We all got to the pub about 20 minutes after it opened and eventually managed to sort out a big enough table in the smoking section by sticking three tables together. Food was as expected extremely welcome and conversation lovely as always. When the bulk of the partygoers headed home, the Countess took [livejournal.com profile] ergotia, Lily, Jackie and I back to her place for more drinking, talking and playing. I was really too tired for play but it was fun to be around. We kept having cold showers to stay awake and keep the heat at bay. Finally, all except the Countess and I departed, and the two of us re-watched the wonderful South Park movie before falling asleep.

Summary: I had a fun time in London. Next we take Berlin again.
