It's a page with an html form with the same parameters as the livejournal update form, that gets filled in and submitted automatically, with javascript, posting something to your LJ. First one was at least kinda interesting because it also made a list of whose LJ you got clicked on it from, so you could trace it all the way back to its inventor, but the newer variants have just posted something pointless or abusive.
