I've developed a very simple trust metric
I'm selling a single bed from my room for GBP 20, buyer collects.
The other day I went to see apimp recruitment consultant at Windsor station. As I waited for the train home, a man cycled down the plaform, ringing his bell and politely saying "excuse me...excuse me!" in a rather posh voice to the others waiting; they stood aside so he could cycle to the other end of the platform and on to the bridge leading to... I don't know, somewhere else in Windsor. A few seconds later, about five police belted it down the platform at top speed in hot pursuit. They disappeared onto the bridge... only to re-emerge a few minutes later, sans cyclist, with *very* sour faces.
I have to admire the wonderful cheek of simply saying "excuse me" and making everyone stand aside like that! I wonder what they wanted him for?
