I have a new Webmail address: it is paul at geekhost dot org. I should be back to reading my old email sometime tomorrow, but this is good in the meantime I hope.

Note that soon after my old email address is back, I shall abandon this one and ignore all email that arrives for it, so basically it's only safe to mail it if you follow my journal and know I haven't announced that it's dead...

Silly question

Why not just get a redirect set up once you can use your old email address again?

I don't see a way to make the geekhost host redirect the mail.

fetchmail + procmail + cron?

Unless geekhost is a webbased system I guess.

It is web based, but I just found out it also does IMAP so I can do as you suggest. Cool!

why not...

...just use your ciphergoth.at.livejournal address and point that to whichever email addy you can receive at the mo ? you can then change it over invisibly in the background and lessen the risk of losing mails.

That would be wise, actually, thanks for the suggestion.
