ciphergothMyself and Kitty have been sorting out a computer for atommickbrane to get her wit and wisdom back to LJ. Kitty has sourced an old laptop ("the Beast") from somewhere, and I've installed Linux and got most things going. But the modem we were planning on using doesn't seem to work, so we need a PCMCIA modem to complete the picture.
It has to be PCMCIA because the serial port doesn't work. It has to be Linux compatible but most such modems are.
