I've taken part in [livejournal.com profile] skx's LiveJournal Valentine System. Note that I've only put in people I've never played with and who don't necessarily know I want to play with them - what's the point of using an anonymous system for people who know already?

I waited until Steve had increased the limit to five people before posting it here though...

oh, the "status" fields and so forth appear to be screwed. Whether the match-finding works we've yet to see...

I'm going for analogue Valentines this year, involving pieces of card, PVA glue, dried pasta shapes and lots and lots of spilt bloodglitter.

I'm a class act!

(NB, bah humbug)

I'll be checking the bitfields tonight; when I can play with my sample data.

This won't affect the matches in any way as that is purely basued upon usernames.
(Though if the status codes to turn out to be borked the wrong messages might get sent, if that does look like being the case I'll just chop that bit out of the mails I guess).

Tommorow I'll update the code, and post the "match processing" script.

Yeah fixed now .. "integer and" vs "string and".

Sometimes I worry about my perl ability...

Well, I am guessing midnight tonight is the deadline for this, and I am still dithering.....I cant think of anyone I really want to play with but am too scared to ask - no, actually i can think of one person, but they are sadly unavailable. Ah well.

Look-a-like!

Having spent the past 18 months telling myself over and over again all of the differences between Asher and you in the looks department and trying to make myself believe that you really are not so alike... then today you put up this picture and I have to say... I have one of Asher in a similar pose and DAMN YOU TWO LOOK ALIKE!

[livejournal.com profile] pure_simon was right. In years to come I can show people my photo album with pictures of three lovers in a row and I can give any of you any of the others name or call you all the same person and no one would ever be able to tell the difference.

*sighs*

I'm psychologicly screwed. I'm sure a shrink would have a field day on me over this matter.

At least I am consistant.

C.

Because it's fun and silly, and those of us who have already told everyone we fancy that we fancy them want to play...

good call. But I'd already used my five slots on people who I wasn't sure would receive it well if I told them directly...
