Tonight, 8pm, Channel 5: Casablanca

Among the many, many very delightful things myself, ergotia and lilithmagna have done during this most recent visit has been watching Casablanca.

It's on again tonight in about an hour. If you read this, do watch it: it's only 99 minutes long, and the pacing is much faster than you expect a 40s movie to be, easily fast enough to account for the tastes of a 2000s film watcher. Basically I thought it was as good as everyone said but much more accessible. Go watch. Gwon, you've always meant to watch Casablanca.

*grin* sgloomi and I watched it, and commented that if it was made today, it would probably be an hour longer, and... do I have to avoid spoilers? well, let's just say we think the ending would be more conventionally romantic. Needless to say we like the 40s version better.
