You should be able to post a poll in any communities you are a member of - it's your paid-account status that matters, not the community. I have done so in the past so I know it's possible.

I'd forgotten all about it, but it was amusing at the time. It would have been better if Tails actually had something resembling MCing skills, but maybe he can work on that between now and April!

I could've shoved that microphone into a great many orifices by the end of the night, MC-ing skills need a little honing, but it good to have somebody perky around, and have chance to thank the DJ's for kicking ass. :)
