Here's an Evil Plot for you... perhaps removing Angus Deayton is part of a plot to kill the ratings and thus give them an excuse to kill off Have I Got Newts For You itself, thus ridding themselves of a thorn in their side?

Feminist plot

It's actually a feminist plot to finally have some decent women on the show (and no, Tracy Emin doesn't count). I love HIGNFY but the subtle sexism in some of the jokes and just the general lack of female presence pisses me off. Either replace Angus with a woman or bring him back as one.

I think it's a great shame that he's going, and I don't agree with their stated reasons for sacking him, nor do I believe them!

But I wouldn't want to have to deal with all those calls from angry middle-aged housewives and Anne Widdecombe types.
