Flat
We just bought a flat.
Yep,
spikeylady and I are moving out of our flat we rent right above
ergotia and
lilithmagna's flat, and bought one... just across the road. Plans for the four of us to move in together are on hold while they try and fight with the builders to get their flat into a more saleable state, but since we can see their bedroom from Jess's bedroom we shouldn't be too far away :-)
Hoping to complete shortly after Whitby, but we will see.
Wheeeee!

This of course DEMANDS an experiment with two paper cups and a long piece of string... a reaaaaaally long piece of string.

I suppose implementing a high speed data channel with support for light packets
transfer protocol but arguable resistance to tampering (aka clothes rope with clothes peg) is out of the question? there are even some RFCs around...

If you are a freeholder, you are now entitled to style yourself ciphergoth esquire.
String-and-Cans is so-o-oo last-century! If you have line-of sight to anyone's apartment it goes without saying that you will be leeching their WiFi with the aid of a Pringles' can. String is for vests... Unless you actually want people to refer to the West Wing LAN as the Vest Ring.

Enjoy Whitby, annoyingly I can never seem to make it due to work for the WGWs, so took myself there for a couple of days last week, not really the same, but its a nice town any time of the year I think.
