Going to Geneva, May 2-4

I'll be in Geneva on May 2nd and staying 'till at least the 3rd, and possibly the weekend depending, unless I'm not.

I think you would be far better going to the past, might be fun. You could find out the winning lottery numbers for that time and make loads of squid. Sorry, I am in a rather silly mood atm.

I'm still in Glasgow atm, will probably be back in Edinburgh tomorrow. Are you coming to Conception on Saturday night? I think we are. Will see you there if you are.

Best start playing the lottery or getting an overdraft, Geneva aint cheap. Did manage to spank a girl from Geneva last year....

...and hack the vibro chairs so we didnt have to pay for them, and steal some nice express cups and saucers from the airport café.

The place just encourages anarchy i tell you.

Work will be paying. How did you hack the vibro chairs then?

vibe hack

The coin slots are the same one i used to fix on arcade machines in the 80's, slid a broken bit of plastic knife between the plate and the chair after spotting that you can push the spongy leather in a bit!

There's a tiny piece of steel "wire" that counts the coin after it's been checked for fakes, this is around 5cm below the coin slot, every push on that wire counts as 1 coin.

Whatever you do, don't take a cab

Good things in Geneva are ice cream, other things made of milk, toys (for children), the Rhone, proximity to France, and the surrouding mountains.

Bad things are boredom, the hideous flower clock, swiss tourism stereotypes, and prices, especially taxis.

I don't know if the big spiky water thing is in the good or bad list.

Agree 100% with taxi comment - its the same all over Switzerland. And drinks are pricey too, altho' I found food to be reasonable given that it usually is of very high quality.

Don't know about the boredom comment - ppl always said that about Zurich too, but I was able to have many, many wild nights there. And my flatmate in Zurich had spent a couple of years in Geneva, living above a hookers bar in the red-light district, and she certainly had fun there. Might just have to dig about a bit.
