Thought for the Day
Apropos of nothing in particular, a little thought cheered me up as I was feeling down. No matter what situation I find myself in just now, or what mistakes I've made, Jeffery Archer is still in jail.

Looking forward to seeing you soon love.
Schadenfreude a speciality
Ah yes, Jeffery Archer (http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/uk/newsid_1437000/1437380.stm)... Yes, that was almost as funny as Chris Patten (http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/in_depth/uk/2000/ruc_reform/newsid_780000/780295.stm)'s face the night he got beaten by the Liberal Democrats. About as funny as Neil Hamilton (http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/uk/newsid_575000/575299.stm) being found to be even more corrupt and unbelievable a liar than Mohamed al-Fayed, and losing his house.
American readers needing something to cheer them up can consider the fact that acting President George W. Bush's favorite Texan oil company (http://www.motherjones.com/mother_jones/MA00/argentina.html), Enron, has crashed and burned to the tune of $13 billion, with George's friends on the board being sued for $25m for insider trading, lying to Congress, and accounting fraud. Kenneth Lay, CEO of of Enron, was Bush's adviser on energy policy. Wonder if he'll end up in jail?
