Reacts are good actually
Trying to read this since there seems to be a bit of an FB exodus going on, but it seems I can't "like" your posts. I would like to "like" them. I don't really have something to say, I just want to say "hello, I am your friend, and I actually read your thing, and it is indeed amusing/sad/commendable/surprising/infuriating just as you say" I guess Dreamwidth has basically not changed in the last decade or so?
(if you agree but have nothing in particular to add, please feel free to reply "like")

It is nice to see your pixels and I hope you are keeping well. I had something to add, so I didn't just type "like" but I do relate to the wanting to react "I have read this" which is very 2020s... Phone-centric internets but yay.
Kim my partner is on a shinier Fediverse (?Sharki I think) platform and not only can she like but unlike standard Mastodon she can react with any of the emoji in her instance's set which shows as a plain like to those without that capability. Which means I don't know when she's made a sarcastic react cos I'm on a less techie instance. I must admit i like the emoji as reacts and do often use them in WhatsApp and Slack.

Yes, I like that Facebook has a range of reacts! If I was going to extend the set I'd include three more:
