Pollsters should stop classifying people by age, and classify them by (say) decade of birth instead, so that demographic breakdowns of polls in different years can be directly compared.

Having recently poked at a system which attempts to codify the rules about gender, marriage and civil partnership in Schematron, I think Y2Gay has a nice ring to it...

Hmm, isn't 1960s/70s/80s etc just as arbitrary as 18-25, 26-35, 46-dead or whatever?

What you want are some longtitudinal studies where they look at the same people over several decades.
