It has both amazed and saddened me that so many people i've mentioned this to today DON'T know who Carlin is, until, at a stretch, I mention Dogma, Jay & Silent Bob Strikes Back or Bill and Ted's Excellent adventure.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fyYCxz_Ao5g <- From Dogma. He played the small but key role of Cardinal Glick. Also, Rufus in Bill And Ted, and in Jay & Silent Bob he was the hitch-hiker who taught them 'the unwritten rules of the road'
Fuck! He was one of Canada's best. I was introduced to him by a Canadian friend and loved every routine he did. The world will be a less entertaining place without him, R.I.P George Carlin.
Bummer, that's sad. I was just watching some of his routines on YouTube a couple of weeks ago. I'd heard of the seven words, of course, but I hadn't been aware of him as a performer before then.
