Does anyone know exactly where the Thames whale is? I want to go see it right now!

Last report was that it was still up by Parliament, there's been a lot of crowds on the embankment by the hospital looking for it.

The announcer who just mentioned it over on this side of the Atlantic on BBC World Service commented that it had gone "right past Bush House," so at least that far up the river.

They won't know just how big it is until they get it to a whale-weigh station - but I've been told there are several in London.

That's awesome. Normally these guys don't tend to do so well, though - it's like to get so confused as to go someplace where they can't eat they have to be starving already. Hope yours does okay.

And a great quote here: "Getting that to do anything it doesn't want to do is going to be extremely difficult."

Upon being informed of that very article, a (likewise to me US-bound) friend of mine quipped, "They really shouldn't talk about the Queen that way."
