Away twice

Away this weekend, from Thursday to Monday, for BiCon, which I'm looking forward to lots.

Then away again from 8 - 16 September for a holiday in Italy at Lil's folks place. Rah!

I posted a comment to this discussion, but the comment doesn't seem to be there now, so I reproduce it here:

The guidelines ultimately belong to the BiCon-going public, and not to the organisers, and it is their perogative to modify them as they see fit. However, I'd ask everyone to please hesitate before proposing anything. The guidelines are entirely unenforcable, and so they have to strike a fine balance of putting pressure on the organisers to produce what people expect when they hear the word "BiCon" without being so burdensome that they are treated as optional or discarded altogether. If no-one proposes any guideline changes, then we can have a nice quick DMP and go to the pub :-)

Update LJ weirdness. As soon as I posted this, I checked, and saw that my comment did seem to be there after all, and edited this post to remove that paragraph. But now I check this morning and it's still there! So maybe either my browser or LJ is getting confused about versions of things, resulting in both me not seeing my comment and not saving this edit. Or maybe I'm just going senile...
