PANIC!

I have no clean clothes at all.

I didn't get around to putting any clothes in the washing machine until last night.

I took them out this morning.

It is perfect drying weather... if you want your clothes to stay damp for as long as possible. Cold, damp, still. Hello, the true British August.

I have resorted to taking my clothes inside and turning the heating on. We have to head off at about half one.

Oh, and I haven't done any packing or planning at all.

PANIC!

Gah! I washed mine on Sunday night and they are mostly dry - and some of them are still damp *cries*

This sounds disturbingly familiar! I just started washing clothes at midnight last night, and am seriously thinking of going to use the launderette's driers in order to be ready on time.

[Juliet]: Why don't you take them to the laundrette?

*I've* been packed since Sunday

*whistles, looks at ceiling*

But as David just pointed out, I don't have a nightie for the same reason

See you tonight

A nightie? The last time I wore pajamas was probably about 1984!

Jeez, with all this hoopla I'm thinking I might have to go next year, ocean crossing be damned.

*tuts*

Silly man. Never mind, hope it all works out and you get to BiCon (thats where I'm assuming you're going!) in a non-soggy state!
Have a fabby time :-)

Laudrette is one option. Another is to select a few items and iron them dry, pack the rest damp and unpack them as soon as you get there, hanging them all over your room on coat-hangers and hoping they dry in time for the following day. Fingers crossed!

You're like the 6th person to say 'argh damp clothes' this morning....

Is this a sign of bisexual organisation?

Not that this'll be any help now, but it usually works overnight - large airing rack/clothes horse thingy + oscillating fan pointed at it from the side (rather than straight on). Worked even in Liverpool for drying things by the next morning, where it rained through my entire university career.

Hair dryer? Clean electric oven?
