Kill Bill Vol 1 and 2 back to back?

Big news: I'm moving again...

Does anyone know if there are any cinemas in London which are showing both parts of Kill Bill one after another? Having bathed in the cinematic wonderfulness that was KBII once, I want to watch both again, and I know people who haven't seen KBI yet. A day of Tarantinoification seems like the right solution.

Rar! That sounds like a really good living arrangement!

Congratulations. When are you actually moving? Any chance of sorting out Mir stuffs before you pack everything up again?

Please go and lie down in a dark place until this madness subsides. Thank you.

Gah! I mean KBV1+2, not your living arrangements!

Wow, sounds like a great setup! I must get back to London one of these days and see it :)

Re Kill Bill, do you have Vindigo?

The Prince Charles seems to have vol 1 in its repertoire at the moment, so you could do that there and see part two somewhere else in Leicester Square.

...I know people who haven't seen I yet.

For a minute there, I thought you were typing in Bristolian about people who hadn't met you...

heh, fixed :-)

Oh dear. You mean it gets worse than "he gave it to Margo and I"? There are actually people who give up on the word me all together?

[identity profile] kelemvor.livejournal.com 2004-05-04 08:17 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, yes!

"I" is used instead of "me" in the West Country almost exclusively. It used to be very disconcerting until I got used to it. *Fumbles for correct grammatical terms and fails, cursing post-60's education* The trend is for "active" pronouns to be used in preference to "passive" ones, as exemplified in the title of the Wurzels' track, "Don't tell I, tell 'e!"

It gets very amusing when you have to deal with the very self-obsessed :S

No problem dere for I and I...

[identity profile] vvalkyri.livejournal.com 2004-05-04 08:27 am (UTC)(link)
Ack! This is worse than the Geordie tendancy to speak in plural when meaning singular:
"And so he tells us that we can't do ..."
"Wait, 'us'? I thought you went there alone!"
"yes. 'twas just me. And so he said to us... "

Of course my first week in Newcastle I couldn't understand the bus driver at all...

I am even more euphoric than, like, yesterday, the day before, last week, er that time 2 years ago, and the day before that....er, dribble, squish, mush, fizz, bang, pop...er...insert cartoon of me with head blowing up and revealed to be android with springs hanging out :)
