Still at work

Bah! This always seems to happen on a Night Off. If I didn't have a night off I guess I would just have insisted on going home right away, but here I am.

FanTAStic weekend. Was good to see Jenny Garside, she's still interested in starting a business, and the Whitby outfit she's nearly finished for me is AMAZING. I shall say no more here but wait to show it off on the Saturday night. We must have business cards ready!

I must tidy my flat, it's a tip.

I have ordered myself a new Treo 600. If anyone gets hotsync over either USB or IRDA working under Linux with any kind of Treo, let me know - I reboot into XP to do it ATM.

Pancakes tomorrow!

extending sympathy

Fie, sorry you're still there. I'll be here late tonight - I've stocked up lunch and dinner so I can keep my strength up while I'm working away.

Be sure to take lots of pictures of your new outfit once you're ready to reveal it to the world.

Tomorrow is pancake day? Arrrrrgh I forgot! I have lots of brilliant vegan pancake recipes and no damn ingredients to make them!

Vegan pancake recipes? You wouldn't care to share, would you?

(I have a standard pancake batter recipe, though [livejournal.com profile] kitty_goth turned his nose up at the concept & will be making his own separate non-vegan pancakes tonight, bah, but more vegan recipes always welcome... :-) )

The one I think I may try if I get the ingredients is rather simple: 1.5 mugs of self-raising flour mixed with rice milk or soya milk. Then flavour with vanilla, sugar, cocoa, lime, or some sort of dried fruit (it says to fry in olive oli but I guess thats just personal taste).

There is also this http://vegweb.com/food/breakfast/2598.shtml (vegweb has tonnes of other pancake recipes as well). I used to make wholemeal pancakes which were gorgeous, but sadly I've lost the cookbook that they were in :(

Order a case while you're at it; the one that comes with it is pointless.

Treo

I never bothered setting up my Treo 180g to sync with Linux USB while I had it - I got an RS232 cable, which was slow but worked. I can't see it anywhere now; I think I gave it to Alison.

I did set up my Tungsten T3 to sync with Linux lia USB while it was still working. I followed the instructions and it worked without problems. I build kernel 2.4.23. The pilot-xfer package for USB was broken, but the Gnome conduit worked fine.

If you have an old machine you could just set it up for network hotsync and use a bluetooth net connection in through the linux box. I know its cheating but it is one solution....
