Please do not jump strongly, that may cause troubles to the other person

DDR mats and controller arrived today. It'll take me a little while to get it all working - I'll post here when I'm ready to get the likes of [livejournal.com profile] atommickbrane over to thoroughly trounce me at the game...

Update: It works! Now downloading Euromix...

wow! I want to come over and play!

I think a DDR party may be necessary!

Give me some time to get it all working, but SOON!

Never played ddr. sounds fun...

I will bring my PSX and Dancing Stage games as well... you do have a TV right, you goths have often been strange in this way :)

DDR is something I'd like to play but never got around to; I've actually considered getting a PS2 just to play it. Unfortunately my asthma went wildly out of control during Whitby, so I suspect I need to build up my stamina levels first before I try it.

Is DDR like Dancing Stage? If so I want to come round and play! I'm crap mind you...

[identity profile] atommickbrane.livejournal.com 2003-11-06 05:13 am (UTC)(link)
Dancing Stage = the European name for DDR (which I think is k-rub)

Bah and Humbug to your Bemani shennanigans! You lot should be playing a man's game, a true warrior game like Bishi Bashi Special...

[identity profile] atommickbrane.livejournal.com 2003-11-06 05:13 am (UTC)(link)
It's not the same if yer not playing it in the arcades... and getting bruised hands to no end whilst yr at it.

[personal profile] tempaccount99 2003-11-06 05:11 am (UTC)(link)
ddr is the only thing my ps2 gets used for apart from watching dvds...

May I recommend Ape Escape 2?

By coincidence, me and Trish are determined to buy DDR tonight. We expect to get the PS2 version working quite quickly, although if you create any "interesting" files I may apt-get install pydance...

It's a mystery.

I'm a good dancer, but I absolutely suck at DDR. Anyone can kick my ass at it.

Fun game, though.

You'll have had a good time in the arcades then?! I wish I had made it out to see you. Any idea when you'll be back up in Edinburgh?

Curiosity piqued

OK, now I have to see what all of the hype is about. Can this really be better than the game where you play giant Taiko drums? Let me know if you get some hacks for some good music, too.

(of course I usually have image animation disabled, but I turned it on for this...)
