wheee! After finally getting the round tuits to fulfil a long-standing ambition, I've just sorted out membership of the De Ferre Pony Society, and myself and coracaskia will be going pony racing out near Devon on Sunday August 3rd.

Yes, that's right, it'll be the other sort of pony racing. Initially I'll be rider and she pony, but I may volunteer to swap places later if I feel like it. I'm looking forward to this very much, and I shall try and make sure there are photos...

People at the Fetish Fair on Sunday were saying that the day before, Saturday 2 August, is the likely date for SM Pride/Pervefest.

Today I go say hello to some recruitment-type pimps who saw my CV online, which is encouraging.

kitty_goth is off to Antigua for work. Don't envy him - if last time is anything to go by, he'll spend the entire time in cold server rooms, and server rooms are uncomfortable and depressing places to be.

Schedule: seeing ergotia and lilithmagna tonight at theirs, spikeylady tomorrow at hers, night off Thursday, B-Movie Friday (so only a brief stay at the pub). Deliberately not planning weekend yet.

July 17 (Thu): meeting up with some former work colleages
July 18 (Fri): Jess birthday celebration
July 19 (Sat): Laputa house warming. In Edinburgh for a few days.
July 26 (Sat): barbecue for residents of this block of flats. Apologise to anyone who's been woken by screams. Having fun that evening.
Aug 1 (Fri): coracaskia arrives very very late.
Aug 2 (Sat): SM Pride/Pervefest. Must buy at least two long leashes.
Aug 3 (Sun): Pony games, rar!
Aug 4 (Mon): possible extra day of coracaskia stay.
Aug 7 (Thu): London.pm
Aug 8 (Fri): Goddess.
Aug 21 (Thu) - Aug 25 (Mon): BiCon
Sep 6 (Sat): lilithmagna's birthday.

there's a saddlery just down the road from me if you want to pick up some authentic horsey kit. IIRC they have slightly eccentric opening hours though.

No, it's her first SM Pride and it might be a bit much. I'll probably have her on a leash for some of it though.

Most certainly! They lend us all the equipment we need, which will definitely include bit, bridle, and reins, as well as a cart for her to pull me along in.

Ponies are fun; I certainly enjoyed it a very great deal the times I've done it (must do it again sometime). It's also very good excercise and surprisingly hard work, at least for the pony.

All of which reminds me that you still have my pony bridle...

My screen has a tiled picture of a shire horse on a leading rein, and there's a promo CDRom for 'Horse and Rider' magazine, offering 'the best email address for horse lovers (goneriding.net)', and '6 stunning horsy scrensavers'.
