Greetings to [livejournal.com profile] mopani

More units for the Hive Mind: Steph stayed over last night and I persuaded her to create a LiveJournal account: [livejournal.com profile] mopani. She reminds me very much of [livejournal.com profile] ajva. Welcome to the addiction...

Had lots of fun at Gigantor last night, chatted to [livejournal.com profile] queenofsmut, [livejournal.com profile] cairmen, [livejournal.com profile] skx, and several shadow people. "Shadow people" are the people who aren't on LJ. These days they seem slightly insubstantial to me, as if when you see them you can just make out a little of the wall behind them; I think it's because when they're not there, you can't see them...

Followed by fab party at [livejournal.com profile] sparklegoth and [livejournal.com profile] dragal23's place, attended by [livejournal.com profile] nik_strychnine, [livejournal.com profile] sleepycinderell, [livejournal.com profile] sabledemon, [livejournal.com profile] sublevel3, [livejournal.com profile] figg, [livejournal.com profile] selectnone among others; played Cardboard Tube Samurai and stayed up 'till 7am. [livejournal.com profile] mopani needed a place to crash so came back with me.

[livejournal.com profile] purplerabbits is coming back tomorrow, and we're going out to dinner. Probably travelling to London on Wednesday.

Sleep deprived!

Who is this [livejournal.com profile] mopani of which you speak?

The name seems familiar, but I'm lost ..

Dances well, Nick Cave fan, red hair, lives in North Berwick, goes out with a guy called Greg, er, I didn't take a photo so I don't know how better to describe her!

Normally I wouldn't ask, but I assumed it was somebody that I might recognise, or know, in some way.

Oh well ..

is that me?

Wow... Is LJ more prevalent in the UK? I mean it's nice to have one stop shopping to see what your friends are up to, but so far I only know of a few friends on LJ. Yours is the only journal I watch that is quite so peppered with meatspace interaction with LJ people.

After a certain critical mass point, one realises the power of LJ to enhance one's social life. So one begins to actively lure one's friends in to drink the Kool-Aid.

2.5 years later almost everyone I know has an LJ, though many barely if ever use it. I was one of the more active recruiters.

Party lists now look like the above.

Sorry I missed you on Saturday night, we went Mishwards. Maybe at the Holyrood again soon?
