USB boot devices and other favours

Does anyone in London have a USB or Firewire floppy or CDROM drive I could borrow briefly to boot my machine into Linux? I've tried a variety of other approaches.

I'll happily buy my own USB CDROM drive if I can be sure it will actually boot from it.

And can anyone recommend an Internet cafe which will let me plug in my non-wireless laptop so I can feed from the teat of broadband?

Must also make arrangements to see today's Buffy and Angel episodes.

Have firewire CD(RW) drive, you're welcome to pop over and give it a go.

If you can find anyone who videoed the last two weeks' Buffy and Angel, I would be extemely grateful (assuming there's an outside chance they might let me borrow them). Forgot to video it AGAIN.

I can't help with the USB or firewire devices but if you want to plug into our broadband connection when in London you will be welcome.
