Whitby journey details
No-one else need care, really, but here it is anyway. I have just bought tickets for my Whitby journey as follows (and update the tickets have arrived):

Edinburgh
10:55 -- Train Great North Eastern Railway -- 13:04
Darlington
13:30 -- Train Arriva Trains Northern -- 13:55
Middlesbrough
14:16 -- Train Arriva Trains Northern -- 15:43
Whitby
Return Journey: Monday 4th November 2002
Whitby
12:41 -- Train Arriva Trains Northern -- 14:07
Middlesbrough
14:23 -- Train Arriva Trains Northern -- 14:50
Darlington
15:26 -- Train Great North Eastern Railway -- 17:40
Haymarket
Original Adult Full Fare: 42.00 GBP (2 Adults @ 21.00 GBP)
Total Price 42.00 GBP
If you're travelling from Edinburgh, get an Apex fare - there are so few trains between here and there that you don't have much choice about trains anyway, and they're much cheaper.
