Cited by Ron Rivest!

Update: YES, I'M CITED IN THE PRINTED PAPER! FUCKING YES! *does another dance around the room*

Just got an email saying that Moses Liskov did mention my paper on Mercy when presenting "Tweakable Block Ciphers", co-authored with Ronald L Rivest, at Crypto this year. Yay! I wonder if I'm cited in the printed version too?

For those who don't know, Rivest is the "R" in RSA.

Cool cool cool cool cool!

Does this give you an exciting Erdos Number?

Say, even if you spent the ensuing almost-five years under a rock, does this mean you still have an Erdos number of three or less, under a somewhat liberal interpretation of "published with"? (Rivest is Erdos-2 (http://www.oakland.edu/enp/Erdos1).)

That's not really an Erdos number any more. My Erdos number is 5 I think - the only person I've co-authored a paper with is Stefan Lucks.
